The Making Of An Heirloom Textile
This silk is exclusive to the Shunde region of China.
To achieve the superior rich burgundy, 100% pure mulberry silk is first harvested and spun into sheets. These sheets are then washed, boiled, and dried 18 times over a period of 30 to 40 days.
By carefully controlling the conditions of this delicate process, the silk develops a beautiful and even patina. The fibers are also strengthened, giving Xiang Yun Sha its signature heirloom durability.
What makes it so striking in person is that it does not behave like regular burgundy fabric. It carries the shine of premium silk, giving the color a far more luxurious depth and character.
