Most jewellery boxes are containers. This one is a conversation piece that also happens to hold your jewellery. The lid carries a hand-embroidered Su Xiu (苏绣) panel set behind high-transparency glass — a scene worked entirely in pure silk thread by hand, visible every time the box is opened or closed. It sits on a desk or dressing table not as a storage solution, but as an object in its own right, one that holds your most personal pieces and wears its craft openly.
The Embroidery
Each lid panel is worked in the tradition of Su Xiu (苏绣), Suzhou silk embroidery, using pure silk thread on a silk ground fabric. The stitching is fine and densely placed, producing gradations of tone and texture that reward close attention. Set behind glass and framed within the lid of solid wood, the embroidery is both protected and permanently on display.
Because every panel is embroidered entirely by hand, each piece carries its own natural character. The thread matching and needle technique will differ subtly from piece to piece. This is not inconsistency. It is the defining quality of genuine handcraft, the evidence of the artisan's hand in every stitch.
The Box
The frame is constructed from solid walnut or rosewood, jointed for durability and finished to a natural lustre. The brass hardware clasp is classical in form and weighted in feel. The interior is lined throughout in soft cream velvet, with compartments sized for rings, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings.
Two configurations are available: a single-tier box for those who prefer a compact, desk-ready piece, and a three-tier box with additional pull-out drawers beneath the main tray for a fuller jewellery collection. Both carry the same embroidered lid and the same standard of wood construction.
What This Piece Is Really For
The jewellery inside this box is precious. The box itself should be too. There is something particular about beginning and ending the day at an object that is beautiful in its own right, one that was made with care, by hand, in a tradition stretching back two and a half thousand years.
It also gives exceptionally well. A jewellery box that carries a hand-embroidered Su Xiu panel on its lid is not a generic gift. It is a considered one, the kind that is kept long after the occasion that prompted it is forgotten.

A Note on Handcraft
Every embroidered panel in this collection is worked stitch by stitch by hand. Thread is selected and colour-matched by the artisan for each individual piece. As a result, subtle differences in tone, needle technique, and thread placement exist naturally between pieces.
The piece you receive may differ slightly from the product images shown. This is not a flaw. It is the character of handcraft embroidery, and the mark that makes each piece genuinely its own.
