The name 层峦灿烂 describes layered peaks in full radiance, a line of mountain ridges catching the light as they recede into mist. More than a thousand years ago, the Tang poet Wang Bo wrote of layered peaks rising in green (层峦耸翠), and the image has lived on in Chinese landscape painting (山水画) ever since. This square takes up that tradition in colour. Each piece is hand-painted in freehand washes (写意), letting tones bleed and soften into one another like distant ranges seen through cloud. It is worked on a fine cashmere gauze so light and open that the painting seems to float.

How to Wear
At 90 × 90 cm and only about 30 g, this square can be folded into a triangle and draped over the shoulders, or wrapped loosely at the neck for gentle warmth. It is light enough to carry everywhere, from a cool evening to an air-conditioned room or a long flight. Worn over a plain coat or knit, it lets the painted colour speak.
