There is a quiet kind of luxury in a pattern that has been woven rather than printed. The Cloud Vine Indoor Slipper takes its design from the Song dynasty brocade tradition, where trailing vines and drifting clouds were worked into silk with patience and restraint. We wanted that same understated grace in a slipper you can wear every day, so we paired it with a cushioned footbed that supports you as gently as the fabric looks.

The Fabric

The straps are cut from scrolling vine and cloud jacquard satin, with flowers and patterns layered in a graceful, varied arrangement. The weave carries on the brocade techniques of the Jiangnan region, a place long associated with imperial silk weaving. Unlike an ordinary printed fabric, the pattern is woven into the cloth, so it holds firmly and resists snagging. The satin surface has a soft sheen and a raised, dimensional texture that you can feel as well as see.

The Fit

Two satin straps cross over the foot in a clean, relaxed line, easy to slip on and comfortable to wear for hours. The square toe is cut slightly wider, giving your foot room to settle naturally and making the slipper kind to a range of foot shapes.

The Footbed

This is where we spent the most care. Five layers sit beneath your foot, each with its own job:

  • A silky satin top layer, smooth and gentle on the skin
  • T80 high-rebound memory foam, soft as you step down and springing back as you lift
  • A dual EVA cushioning layer that absorbs the shock of each step
  • A firm shaping board that keeps the footbed from collapsing
  • A rubber and TPR composite outsole for grip

The result is a slipper that feels soft and supportive at once, and relieves pressure with every step.

The Sole

The outsole blends rubber and TPR in a 4 to 6 ratio, an approach borrowed from outdoor footwear. The rubber keeps the sole soft and flexible, so it bends easily and grips the floor, while the TPR holds its shape and wears well. The wave-pattern tread, which we call the ripple sole, gives steady traction on smooth indoor floors.

  • Footbed: Silk-lustre satin top layer, T80 high-rebound memory foam, dual EVA cushioning, anti-collapse shaping board
  • Sole: Rubber and TPR composite outsole (4:6) with ripple tread (non-slip, durable)

Available Colours

Three colourways, each a soft interpretation of Chinese colour:

  • Apricot (杏色) — warm cream with tea-gold vines, the most classic of the three
  • Mist Blue (花色) — a cool, pale blue with blush-pink blossoms, in the spirit of Song dynasty celadon
  • Blush Pink (粉色) — soft dusty rose with pale florals, gentle and quietly romantic

Care Instructions

These slippers can be machine washed. Place them in a laundry bag and wash on a gentle cycle, separately from dark and light clothing to avoid dye transfer. Dry in a ventilated shaded spot, and keep them away from direct sunlight and tumble dryers.
