Botanical Shadows Wool Jacquard Triangle Scarf

The name 花影流年 speaks of flower shadows passing through the years, blooms held still as time flows on. The design takes its cue from the art of the botanical print, where flowers are recorded in fine, etched lines. China has its own great tradition in this art. The Ten Bamboo Studio manual (十竹斋书画谱) of 1633 brought flowers and branches to life in woodblock, line by patient line. Here, parrot tulips and full-blown peonies are drawn in that same etched manner, their petals built from countless fine strokes. They are woven directly into soft wool, so the flowers become part of the cloth itself.

How to Wear

Drape the triangle over the shoulders with the point at the back and the long ends falling forward, or wrap it around the neck and knot the ends loosely at the front. It can also be worn bandana-style, with the point at the front and the ends wrapped and tied behind. Ink Black suits grey, black and camel, while Khaki Navy warms a navy or charcoal coat.
